My First Words
Elumakil

Hello to all. I would first like to apologise for any mistakes on my writing for my born language is not english.

Well, having said this i would like to comment a few of the things i read here over the time.
The discussion about religion seems rahter useless when we consider that Tolkien's world already has a religious system with Eru, the Valar, the Maiar and beings that know of them, like the Eldar, and others that don't, like most of the Edain. We should consider that the Mansion of Iluvatar, Arda or the Middle Earth are a part of a world set apart from our own and that any similarities between them is of pure coincidence. Alas, it was Tolkien himself who brougth this shadow of worry over us with the only disapointment i found on Tolkien's books. He starts the FOTR with some notes on how the story he tells happened long before our days but kind of here on Earth. (Well, i'd like to see someone dig out the skeleton of a dragon with some elvish smithswork beside him). Anyhow, that's my most personal opinion. As for what concernes Balrogs wings i should say I was one of the firm believers on their wings till i read something here, http://www.users.cts.com/king/e/erikt/tolkien/balrogs.htm, and i kind of got another view of this. Well, sorry about the length of this and i'll be around...
