Balrogs and Wings: Fao Smaug

Smaug you believe that you have found inconclusive evidence that Balrogs have wings, in a line you quoted from the books '...it's wings were spread from wall to wall.' Then you put it across that some of us who debate the issue, are lacking somewhat in intelligence, in that 'how could we have overlooked such a simple thing'. Hey buddy, I'll just tell you this before someone else does: a little before that passage, in reference to the Balrog, it mentions that the Balrog's shadow spread out behind it, LIKE VAST WINGS'. So you see the sentence you are referring too corresponds to that statement, and does not say 'in black and white', that the Balrog has wings. I arrest my case.

p.s. I believe the Balrog has wings, but the way you are proving it is not the right way! :)
