Arwen and Bombadil

I was pretty mad about the fact that Arwen appeared in the movie when she isn't supposed to appear for a while. The original character would have been better suited to play the part. The only reason that Arwen was put in was so that Liv Tyler could have some screen time. I think that is crap. Tom Bombadil played an important role in the novel. Hell, he saved Frodo!!! Why was he cut?
