July 16, 2002 Humbly the Greatest! Thank you Brett C for the accolade. It was just the little thing about only mortals becoming invisable, that I think is not true. The only reason the others are not invisable is that they choose not to use that aspect of the rings power (assuming of course that the other rings, elven etc has the ability to confer invisability). Sauron, Galadriel n co all had full mastery of their respective rings. Simply having the ring gives you the bonus of invisability but not the option to choose to be visable while wearing it. That only comes after, in regards to the Great ring, a long period of training yourself to the domination of others, the ring included. A thought occured as to the ratio of power between Gandalf and Sauron. Gandalf admits even without the ring Sauron is more than a match for him. So lets say for argument sake Sauron passed 3/4 of his power and will to the ring (It was stated he passed the greater part of his strength to it) that would infer that Sauron was at least 4 times more powerful than Gandalf. Nice thought haha! Who's The MAN!!??!!!? See you all later :) |
