Cool article, I must confess I never thought about it that much. But after reading your article I have some thoughts. If wearing the ring made you invisible to mortal eyes how come the wood elves could not see Bilbo stealing food all the time in their palace, elves after all are NOT mortal so they should be able to see him right? I do not think wearing the ring makes you invisible to mortal eyes it makes you invisible to all eyes except people that also had rings, such as the Nazgul. I also think that even those wearing the elven rings if they could not "see" someone wearing the ring would be able to "sense" where they were. Galadrial did not have to know which one was Frodo to know HE had the ring. Thankyou for your time. And to the guy who was sick of tolkien movie lovers who had never read the book, maybe the guy you talked to in the movies did not want to ruin the end of the story, but yes I am also a little tired of those people.
