I am a just a regular fan, Ray S.,twenty years old. I agree. I have read all the books about six times and I have read the Silmarillion fifteen times and I have read every other book that Tolkien wrote concerning Lord of the Rings at least two times. I also say that people think they know so much just because they saw the movie. i must say that that is amazingly dumb. I was at camp a few days ago, and i saw this kid talking to another kid. He was talking about how awesome the movie was. I had a feeling he didn't even get the whole point. All he was interested in was the battle part in the end where Aragorn slices off an orc's head. He didn't get anything. He probably only paid attention the violent parts. That was annoying.

also, the other day, i saw a girl who was talking about the movie. she had only read two pages and then she dropped the book. She looked bored and said the movie was exciting. But she only talked about Arwen and how special she was. i asked her if she knew that Arwen had replaced Glorfindel and that Bombadil had been cut. She only stared at me and answered she didn't know what i was talking about. How frustrating to see these people think that they are true fans.
