Fan Or Not
Peter D.

Just a quick comment on the distinction between us die-hard Tolkien-fundamentalists and "the rest": Is it really that important? I have been following the debate, and of course its f"#¤&!^ annoying to hear someone trivialize or even ignore the works of Tolkien - One day I was standing in a bookshop in Copenhagen, and this guy in front of me sees some FotR-books on display, turns to his girlfriend and says something like "bloody hell, will you look at that - now its out in BOOK FORM"! - and I didnt even club him to death.
Many of us love the works of Tolkien, and have probably read them too many times to remember; others have not - well, thats just their loss....
