My Arwen Problem

I don't really have a problem with Arwen taking Glorfindels place or how she is portrayed as a "Xena" type "warrior princess". My problem is when she was carrying Frodo across the Ford and turns to confront the Ringwraiths.

In the book Frodo tells the Ringwraiths to, "Go back to Mordor and bother me no more!". Sitting alone on Glorfindels horse and considering his near death condition, this is a last act of defiance both noble and heroic.

In the movie Arwen defies the them by saying; "If you want him come and claim him!". Taking into account the power of the Nine Riders and her apparent disregard for Frodos safety, what she says is both foolish and careless. To me the whole scene sounds just plain ludicrous.
