Concerning LotR and Christianity
Fool of a Took

I very much agree that LOTR has much to do with Christianity. You see it all through the story. I think that the death of Gandalf is very much Christ-like. He dies for the Fellowship and then returns back as Gandalf the White, even more powerful! I am a christian and it interest me very much to see how there are many biblical references in LOTR. You see how the whole journey to get the Ring to Mordor is very much in the same likness of a Christian's journey through life. It is very hard and the world can be very tempting just like the Ring is. Tolkien sure does great work using metaphors! Anyways,Frodo's journey is very hard and like us it helps to have someone loyal around such as Sam. There are way too many biblical references to name so I will give the address of a really neat site that has them all:

It is sort of a long address, but I couldn't figure any other way to put it. The site is called Hollywood Jesus and the guy who owns it reviews all movies using the Bible. I think it is very interesting.

I hope the website will be much help to everyone who is interested in this subject.
