Has anyone visited any places associated with Tolkien? If so, what did they think.

I recently visited Warwick, which was the inspiration for the Elven town of Kortirion (among the trees) of the Lost Tales, which has a good few medieval houses & a stunning castle. Really worth a visit, & it does have a kind of 'Elvish' feel to it. The castle seemed to be full of American visitors (or maybe they just have louder voices than us Brits -:)

I'm also booked in for the Tolkien Society's Oxonmoot weekend in September, which culminates with a visit to his grave. Apparently, Ted Naismith will be there too - hope he doesn't find out what I said about his work in one of my previous postings! (Does anyone know whether he holds a grudge, or has violent tendencies?)
