August 8, 2002 Caring Gandalf Aiglos, perhaps I was a little too black and white with poor master Gandalf. He did care, but he didn't care enough to spare a poor hobbit. You said to the effect that he was afraid that the ring would have corrupted him like Saruman, ok, but he was more than willing to let Frodo bear that risk. As for the Battle at Morannon, it was just as The Mouth said, Master Gandalf had stuck his nose out too far. Some person said in a post for me to stop being "different", what boring universe do you live in! I, like many more people here love to banter about topics, I just like to see things for the "Bad" point of view. Alot of what I say is untrue i.e. Gandalf is uncaring, but the main point is to spur debate from a different angle. Maybe such people would prefer if we endlessly talked about the possiblility of winged Balrogs, and whether they had a 8.645m wing span or 8.745m wing span. It is only my humble opinion, but such singleminded talk would get alittle stretched after awhile and not alittle boring. Hey Brett C, didn't I give you one of the nine rings? (Still within 30 day trial period!) Sort these guys out for me there's a chap! Thanks! (Joke... need to warn people these days seemingly) See you all later :) |
