I would just like to heartily agree with Annatar, if that's all right. It IS just a book, and we shouldn't get so rattled about it. I speak from expirience... my brother and his friend nearly came to blows over the correct way to pronounce, "Eowyn". Scary, isn't it? Well, I just wanted to say, Here here Annatar! And Lighten Up the rest of you.
