Tolkien and Christianity (To Annatar)
Fool of a Took

I very much agree with your opinion on Gandalf. He isn't like Christ at all in those ways. I think I was wrong for saying that some things in Tolkien's book could be references from the Bible, but it is true that you can sometimes compare some of the things and people in the book to a Christian life and in some ways to Christ. I am not saying that Gandalf is %100 like Christ but in some ways he is, as when he rose from the dead and risked his life for the Fellowship just like Jesus did. There is just some comparisons that could be pointed out. But anyways, thanks for your opinion, it is always good to see how others view this subject! ;) I just compare the whole quest of the Ring to the life of a Christian, because it is true in most ways. It is just a long hard road with many tempting things in the way and we must get through them and stick on the good side. It is like the basic theme, but in detail, which is how I like it. :)
