Re: Andy
Beans

Andy, I must admit you have a point. You can go too far being a fanatic. But, I must also admit, I have never slept in class because of LotR. I'm sure they're are a few people who do need to take a look around and get they're lives back together, but I think most of us are still part of this world and do do more than discuss wether balrogs have wings or not and the relationship between religion and Tolkien's writings. But think about it. Do you have a hobby that you love to do, and you do it a lot? What would you do if someone told you to give it up and get a life? For most of us, this is just a major hobbie, not something that we spend every minute of every day doing.

I, for one, read or write a lot, talk on the phone, do chores for my parents (not nessicarily willingly, mind you) draw, go to church, just be plain crazy with my friends, go to movies, email people, listen to music, babysit... Do I need to tell you more? I think that most people are like me, and do get out of our houses and do do things other than talk about LotR.

For those people who do spend 24/7 doing something Tolkien related, they do need to take a good look at their life and go talk to someone. Seriously. (I'm not trying to offend anyone, but but if you're so lost in something that's fictional, you do need help)

Thanks, Andy for bring it up though.
