Hollis, you really may have something here. Ever since I saw the original TT trailer at the end of FOTR months ago, the one clip that had me totally befuddles was the shot of what was apparently Arwen lieing asleep under falling golden leaves in a wood. The implications did not hit me until just now when I read your article; was this a view of Arwen when she has lain herself down for her final rest in the wood of Lothlorien, after the passing of King Elessar? If Hollis' translation is correct, it is a compelling theory, though I dare say PJ might fudge things a little and perhaps have Legolas and Gimli joined by the aged Sam, if such an ending was on the cards. Very interesting indeed!
