The Cowering Greyhem
Warg

Was anyone else a little dissapointed with the way the film had Gandalf cowering in the presence of Sauruman? I don't remember exactly how it was in the books, but I never got the impression that Gandalf truely saw Sauruman as the 'head' of his order. He certainly never cowered (in the books) like he did when Sauruman begins to tell him that his love for the halflings has made him weak. Sauruman was not a threatening authority figure to Gandalf, nor was anyone.

And the wizard battle was a little dissapointing too. A cool idea, but a little over-actionized. I would have liked to see a more intellectual battle between the wizards, becuase in truth, we know that Gandalf could have easily won. I don't think that was in the books was it? I have the hardest time reading through the council of Elrond, but if my memory serves me right, he just imprisoned Gandalf atop the tower....
