Rings a Big Hit in Italy
Robert Bernocchi

Eventually, The Lord of the Rings arrived in italian theaters. I'll just say that it’s a masterpiece and easily the best movie of the last twelve months. Every Italian audience shares this enthusiasm. In fact, The Lord of the Rings grossed more than a million euros (about $900,000) in its first day of release, beating the record held by Hannibal and 7 million euros over the weekend, the best weekend ever... beating Harry Potter with room to spare.
