| TolkienMovies.com We're Going to Alabama... and So Should You! I know I'll probably be flamed to death for doing this, but I don't care. This issue is too important to let a few petty and bored people stop me. Now, before you say that this is a Tolkien site and that I should be posting Tolkien news and nothing else, please STOP. This is MY site, I run it, I've maintained it and updated it since 1997 now. That's 6, count 'em, 6 years of work. It's my site and I can do whatever I want with it. If you don't appreciate that fact, feel free to stop visiting my site. So, now that that's out of the way! My family and I are organizing a group of people in the Raleigh, North Carolina area to caravan down to Montgomery, Alabama and support Judge Roy Moore in his stand against those who would take away not only our religious freedom and free speech rights, but would set a precedent for the complete obliteration of states' rights as well. I want to encourage you to consider visiting Alabama yourself. Now, if you're in Alaska, I realize that may be difficult, but if you're in Louisiana or Mississippi, for goodness' sake, it's NOT that far of a drive! This is one of the most important judicial decisions that has taken place in our country since Roe vs. Wade and the 1963 decision to take prayer out of the public schools. If you're an American patriot, religious or not, it is your DUTY to show your support for keeping the Ten Commandments in Judge Moore's courthouse. "A society of sheep must in time beget a government of wolves." -- Betrand de Juvenal If the Ten Commandments are removed from the courthouse in Montgomery, it will set a precedent and what will undoubtedly follow will be a landslide of anti-religious freedom and anti-free speech decisions made across the country. This is dangerous stuff folks! Don't get me wrong, I'd rather not be spending my weekend driving to Alabama, but this is TOO IMPORTANT to miss. If you're in the Raleigh area, e-mail me at info@tolkien-movies.com! Perhaps you'd be interested in caravaning with us. We're going to rent some vans or maybe even a bus, IF we get enough people. If you live somewhere else, grab your friends and family and form your own caravan, or call the governor and ask him to support Judge Moore, or call your local radio station and give your piece! Do SOMETHING! There should be tens of thousands down there in Alabama right now. There are not. Just goes to show you how far our country has come and how asleep the populace is.
