Arwen as Mover of Events

I am pleased that the film reads apendix a back into the narrative, and that Arwen is introduced, replacing Glorfindel at the river crossing. The morning and evening stars are moving forces in the change coming to Middle Earth and the new role of the race of men. One diminishes in the west, the other enters into the history of men. She is one of the gift givers, along with Galadriel, and her words create hope and courage when dark things would steal them away. Her face-off with the nine Nazgul at the river is a spectacle of excitement.
