Great Fish of Ulmo

I was reading in The Silmarillion today that the fortress of Angband was located in the Ered Engrin, the Iron Mountains. Could these Iron Mountains have any relation to the Iron hills on the map of Middle Earth. I'm trying to figure out exactly where things are located on the map of Beleriand, but having trouble finding phrases in the complex text that match up with anything on the Map. So far all I've found is The March of Maedhros. any help would be apprecciated.
