Elendur, whiney-liberal...?!? hmmmm sounds like you are a little narked about something. Conservative/Liberal... why do people like these extremes. Middle of the road is best. Are we talking politics again? arrghh! In Politics, trust No One. Anyone who runs for office be they Taoiseach, Tánaiste(most definately!), Prime Minister or President - they all cannot be trusted. Anyone who wants such power is suspect, because as we know power corrupts, and to aspire to such power there must already be a seed of corruption. In truth it is safer for a country to be forever distrustful of its leaders.
A bit like the Ring... raw power, anyone who wants it is already corrupted.
