The Hobbit as a musical would be ridiculous, to be sure... but if it were done intentionally as a parody, I think I would go watch that. Can you just see a bunch of orcs singing and dancing in full broadway style...

If going that route, Gollum and Bilbo MUST sing the riddles back and forth to each other.

This could get quite funny if done properly. :o)

I think the end of the year is getting to me...
