Here's hoping they can work things out, though
I think PJ would be better suited to direct a film version of "The Children of Hurin". I finished reading it a few weeks ago, and I must say that it was quite good and would hold up well as a movie. It also plays to PJ's directorial strengths more than the "The Hobbit" does.
