I read somewhere that Barad-Dur in the movie was, using the scale used, over 5,000 feet....
Just as a point of reference, a quick google found that the Empire State Building is 1,250 feet.

A persons mind boggles at the idea of a 5,000 ft building.

Jus thought Id share that tidbit
