I'm not sure I want them to incorporate Aragorn into the Hobbit. I'd really rather they'd leave it as is. Although, a small guest appearance could be done and leave the story mostly in tact...

Whether they add Aragorn or not won't determine whether or not it is fanfiction. By nature of it being made into a movie it will be fanfiction. Good fanfiction, but still that none the less. Just look at the trilogy.
