Our contact Sam has more news on the 5-minute news clip that aired on New Zealand television on the evening of February 6th:

Peter Jackson was on TV3 News last night talking about his purchase of the National Film Unit. Interesting because it copies film to a digital format for editing and special effects. It's the only one in Wellington and the newest in New Zealand. I think they also said that it can mix sound louder than any of its rivals. The most interesting thing that was said however was this:

"Spending all day with Gandalf telling Sauron the ring must be destroyed...over and over again. My head's in a different space at the moment."
